Every neighbourhood has a good public library. They are all free and you need to be a member to be able to take the books away. But in most libraries, you can enter freely and read anything in their reading areas without having to join. Each library has different requirements to join but usually they ask you for proof of identity and proof of residence (through an utility bill in most cases)

Find your local library here - They are great places for studying and to find out about local events & courses. They offer free internet and you can usually find also newspapers in your mother tongue!
