Depending
on the zone, the price of a movie ticket varies from £8 to
£11!! Generally the West End, around Leicester
Square is the main area to go see a preview and bump into
one or another famous actor. They play most blockbusters and host
the London Film Festival. But hidden in some side
streets you can find gems like the Prince
Charles Cinema, that plays independent and foreign
movies at very very decent prices. The only let down is that is
very small so it fills in quickly! You can check their
daily
schedule here. If you become a member there,
the movies can be as cheap as £1.50!!
There are other cinema chains that offer yearly memberships
for cheaper tickets or even free deals, that is at the Odeon,
the UCG
Other interesting cinemas are the one at the French Institute,
the Cine
Lumière where they obviously play French
movies, the Riverside
Studios where they play classics, the Ritzy
in Brixton and the EveryMan
Cinema in Hampstead where you can see a bit
of everything from very comfy sofas.
